In 1955, the building's most recent owner, Florence Twombley Burden, donated the estate to Salve Regina College. It was renamed in memory of the founder of the Sisters of Mercy, Catherine McAuley.<br /><br />ca. 1965. Black and white photograph. 20 x 25 cm. (8 x 10 inch).</p>
